in september 2019, in relation to summer/fall risks of fire/quake/power outages, i shared tips on bug-out bag prep and tips for food/water(see below).
now with an overhyped hysteria pandemic inviting martial law, i wanted to get this tip/reminder out as quarantines are ramping up everywhere. i warned of this medical police state a few times in posts since 2001 and it's occurring exactly as anticipated/described by many. the world goals posts are now moving by the hour and rumor of a 4-week 'house arrest' lockdown (quarantine of the healthy aka tyranny) could easily come to pass so 'prepping' 3 weeks of emergency food on hand is no longer crazy talk of preppers for an authoritarian takeover, but now openly advocated on mainstream media. prepare more panic less.
the 3 key survival deficits to address in this priority order (law of 3s):
- core body temp aka dont get cold (fatal risk after 3 hours)
- water (fatal risk after 3 days)
- protein/calories (fatal risk after 3 weeks)
so cold/hypothermia is our #1 survival concern, it's the #1 killer health-threat, so cold weather gear is key for survival. if we dont maintain core body temp we're screwed in 3 hours. 2nd priority is clean water, third priority is food. 3 hours cold, 3 days water, 3 weeks food.
- wool army blankets, space blankets, tents, smartwool socks/hat/long-johns, and fire-starter kits to make fire if no power or anywhere you are.
- water in aluminum bags is key for longterm storage in hot and cold, direct sunlight and/or heat through plastic water jugs will turn into poison.
- food ready to eat, no cook prep needed, as you may not have the ability to heat up anything with no electric/gas/fuel in an extended lockdown or water/power outage.
- go-bag: get a fema/uscg approved sos ready-made $150-200 go-bag with survival kit.
- flood-fireproof bifold for evacuation-ready cash/docs ex insurance/deed.
